How to Build an Open Source Reusable Framework in ASP.NET MVC

I will be giving a presentation on how to create an open source reusable framework using ASP.NET MVC to the local .Net Developer Group in Sarasota, Florida on June 20, 2012.  In this presentation I will be covering the architecture behind VoiceModel, an open source project available on CodePlex that makes it easier to develop VoiceXML applications using ASP.NET MVC, Razor and C#.  If you are in the area be sure to drop by.  The exact time and directions are available here.  I think you will find the presentation very informative. Customizing Claims for Authorization in ASP.NET Core 2.0

There have been some major changes to ASP.NET Identity with the release of Core 2.0, which you can read about here .  One of the major changes is that it does not rely on using middleware anymore to customize it.  Instead dependency injection is used by configuring via services in the ConfigureServices method of StartUp.cs .   There is not much documentation or examples on how to do this so I am going to explore how to customize ASP.NET Identity and publish some examples in this blog.  First I wanted to look at how you would add custom claims to the identity and then use those claims for authorization. Adding Email Confirmation to ASP.NET Identity in MVC 5

In a previous article I demonstrated how to customize the user profile information in ASP.NET Identity .  Specifically I showed how to add capturing an email address for the user. We will expand on this work and add email confirmation to the registration process.  This process will send an email to the user with a link they can click on to confirm their registration and log in to the system. Prior to confirmation they will not be able to log in.  This process will be similar to the one I described for adding email confirmation to SimpleMembership .
